Coastal lines of California extend up into Oregon and Washington. Land clashes with the Pacific Ocean to the north of California is called the Pacific Northwest. Like California, Oregon and Washington primary sector include commercial fishing and wine vineyard. Oregon's ecosystem is notably alike to northern California considering they are next to each other. Wine industry both flourish in Oregon and Northern California. Microbreweries are also abundant in Washington. Craft beers can also be found in California. Microbreweries such as Stone IPA can be found in California and are doing well since the demand for craft beer has risen.

Computer company has also settled into the Pacific Northwest, similar to Silicon Valley in California. Since all three state lie along the Pacific Ocean, ports and commerce thrive in these areas. Trade between Canada, US, and Mexico intermingle between these three states. However, unlike California the climate in the Pacific Northwest has much more precipitation allowing for more timber and agriculture.
